Ideogram's model for type, design and realism

Ideogram 3.0: AI Image Generator with Readable Text

Text to image or remix one picture. Five aspect ratios.

Ideogram 3.0 was built to put real words into images: shop signs, shirt prints, infographics and covers, plus photos with believable light. Write the copy in quotes and it lays the lettering out for you.

Copy that survives the render

Bakery shop front

Lettering that fits the scene

Ideogram built its name on text, and lists text rendering among the main gains in 3.0. Ask for a name on a shop window and it is styled to suit the setting, from gold leaf to neon. Put the exact words in quotes.

T-shirt graphic

Graphics ready for print

Ideogram pitches 3.0 at graphic design and brand assets such as logos and posters, where type and artwork are planned together rather than pasted on top. A shirt graphic is a good test. Describe the layout as well as the words.

Infographic

Long copy, still in order

A headline is the easy part. Ideogram says 3.0 keeps its accuracy when a design carries a lot of copy, so a titled infographic with numbered, labelled steps is a fair ask. List each label in the prompt.

Ideogram 3.0 questions

What is Ideogram 3.0?

Ideogram 3.0 is a text-to-image model from Ideogram, released in March 2025. Ideogram sums it up as photorealism, legible text and creative designs, and aims it at posters, logos, ads and product photos. On PicX Studio you can create from a prompt or remix one image.

Is Ideogram 3.0 free to use?

Not as a free model. PicX Studio gives every new account one free image after sign-up, made with Nano Banana 2, our free-tier model. Ideogram 3.0 itself uses credits per image. Credits never expire and work on every model.

How good is Ideogram 3.0 at text in images?

Text is its main strength. Ideogram says 3.0 handles stylized type and long, complex layouts that other models struggle with, and quotes 95% text rendering accuracy. For best results, put each word in quotes and keep the copy short. Still proofread every image before you print it.

Can I use Turbo or Quality speed on PicX?

No. Every Ideogram 3.0 image on PicX Studio is rendered at the Balanced setting, and there is no speed, style preset or Magic Prompt switch to set. Turbo and Quality are not on PicX yet.

Can Ideogram 3.0 edit images?

On PicX you can remix: attach one image and describe the result, and Ideogram 3.0 redraws it from your prompt. Mask editing, where you paint over one area to change only that part, and Style Reference images are not on PicX yet.

What is the difference between Ideogram 3.0 and Ideogram 4?

Ideogram 4.0 and 4.5 are Ideogram's newer models, and 4.0 has open weights. PicX Studio does not offer them yet. Links to our old Ideogram V4 page now open Ideogram 3.0, which is what those requests run on.

Ideogram vs Recraft: what happened to Recraft on PicX?

Recraft V4.1 has been retired on PicX Studio, and requests for it now run on Ideogram 3.0. Ideogram's own human evaluations rated 3.0 above Recraft V3, Imagen 3, Flux Pro and DALL-E 3.

Can Ideogram 3.0 keep the same character across images?

Ideogram 3.0 on PicX has no character-reference input. For that, use Ideogram Character, which takes one photo of a person and keeps their face consistent in new scenes. Ideogram 3.0 is the better pick for lettering, layouts and products.
