Boy Height Growth Manhua Comic

Goal: Create a cute vertical slice-of-life Chinese webcomic about a boy measuring his height and realizing he has grown, in a soft hand-drawn manga style. Canvas: Tall vertical comic page, roughly 2:3 aspect ratio, white paper background, thick slightly wobbly black panel borders, watercolor pencil texture, light pastel colors, expressive chibi proportions, clean but sketchy line art. Main characters: A young boy named {argument name="character name" default="unnamed boy"}, about 10–12 years old, short messy black hair, pale skin, rosy cheeks, wearing an oversized light blue T-shirt, loose blue-gray pants, and white sneakers. A cute anthropomorphic measuring tape device named {argument name="device name" default="measuring tape companion"}, shaped like a round mint-green tape measure with a white face, huge sparkling eyes, blush, tiny side knobs, and a flexible yellow measuring tape tongue/arm. Layout: Use exactly 8 comic panels arranged in an irregular vertical strip layout. Panel 1 is a large panel at top left; panels 2 and 3 are stacked at top right; panel 4 is wide middle-left; panel 5 is middle-right; panel 6 is a full-width dramatic reaction panel; panels 7 and 8 are the bottom row, left and right. Panel details and visible text, exactly 8 panels: 1. Large top-left panel: The boy stands in his bedroom near a desk and wall, looking down and tugging the hem of his oversized shirt as if surprised it feels shorter. Add a vertical wall mark labeled “去年” meaning last year. Speech bubble: “咦？裤脚变短了…” 2. Top-right panel: The boy sits at a desk facing the cute tape-measure companion, who smiles excitedly with sparkles around it. Speech bubble from the companion: “量量看！” 3. Right column second panel: The boy stands straight against a wall with a book balanced on his head while the measuring companion sits by his feet with its tape stretched upward like a height ruler. Speech bubble from the companion: “别踮脚。” 4. Middle-left panel: Side view close-up of the boy nervously facing the measuring tape, sweat drops on his cheek; the tape bends upward from the companion’s mouth toward the wall. Add the wall label “去年”. Speech bubble from boy: “不会吧…” 5. Middle-right panel: Close-up of a vertical height ruler with centimeter markings around 166–171, showing last year and this year comparison. Red handwritten label “今年!” at the top, black label “去年” lower down. The companion looks thrilled beside it. Speech bubble: “过线了！” 6. Full-width dramatic panel: The companion’s huge sparkling eyes appear on the left while the boy on the right gasps with wide eyes and sweat, hand on chest. Big red handwritten announcement text in the center: “长高7厘米!” Speech bubble from boy: “真…真的?” 7. Bottom-left panel: The boy happily reaches up to a high shelf to grab a box labeled “巧克力饼干”, with motion ghosting showing his stretching movement. Speech bubble from boy: “我够到了—” Smaller speech bubble near him: “咦…声音也怪怪的？” 8. Bottom-right panel: The boy holds the cookie box, startled by his own voice, with a red impact burst above his head. The measuring companion on the right is shocked, sweating and holding out its little tape. Large red sound effect: “咳!” Caption bubble near bottom: “长高第一天。” Visual style: Warm humorous coming-of-age tone, Chinese manhua strip aesthetic, rounded speech bubbles, handwritten Chinese lettering, soft gray shadows, pale blue room details, minimal background furniture, no photorealism, no 3D render, no extra panels, no extra characters, no watermark.
